Like we usta say in the South Bronx circa the ’70′s, Conscious Hip-Hop is “the joint” i.e. the real deal. As a writer I’ll always ask myself before putting anything out there for folks to read…how will it effect young people? Will it contribute to their spiritual upliftment & cause them to think positively? If the answer is “yes”, then I’ll share it with everyone. This is the twofold responsibility of all artists…hear me bros & sis’s of every shade of Divinity’s Rainbow: a) Entertain…absolutely b) Enlighten…most absolutely.
